A Southern California Community College District needed to replace its aging Avaya PBX systems with a modern Cisco VoIP solution because the legacy voice infrastructure had become difficult to maintain and no longer met the district's operational needs.
The district needed to modernize voice communications across four campuses. Replacing network switches, telephones, and voice services required careful coordination to ensure a seamless transition with minimal disruption to daily operations. Multiple campus locations, diverse user groups, and the need to maintain uninterrupted communications throughout the migration added complexity to every phase of the project.
VectorUSA designed and implemented a phased Cisco VoIP migration across four campuses. The solution included deploying a new environment while improving reliability, scalability, and communications.

The project resulted in a successful migration to a modern VoIP infrastructure across all campuses. Each campus underwent a seamless transition within planned change windows, with Direct Inward Dialing (DID) numbers smoothly transitioned to the new SIP service.
The upgraded system significantly improved communication capabilities, facilitated by a strategic and iterative approach that minimized disruption to daily college operations.
