The problem:
After one of the largest real restate deals in Los Angeles History, this global leader in real estate services became the manager of the Century Plaza Towers complex, known for its landmark triangular towers punctuating the Century City skyline. The complex includes Century Park, a green field surrounded by luxury office properties and signature restaurants, and the park soon became a gathering spot for the Century Plaza community.
In order to enhance tenant comfortability and encourage use of the outdoor space, this real estate company's managers wanted to provide wireless network accessibility to tenants and visitors, allowing them to integrate their professional responsibilities with the world-class luxury location.
The solution:
Over the course of a week, technicians from Vector Resources installed an outdoor wireless network. First they performed a pre-installation survey of the site's wireless topography and capabilities. Upon establishment of site parameters, Vector engineered the maximum amount of coverage through the minimum number of wireless access points, taking into account the aesthetic requirements of the landmark site. In the end, Vector teams installed four wireless access points to cover an area about the size of a football field.
The future:
As tenant feedback is received, Vector will continue to maintain and adjust the system, ensuring wireless network access throughtout all areas of the park. Vector will also assess network usage to explore further technical enhancements.
