Vector Resources has gained a reputation for designing and installing high quality solutions that meet the district's needs. Vector was one of four integrators awarded a two-year contract under Prop MM to update the data networks for all schools in a major Southern California District. These networks are expandable and scaleable as the district continues to grow.

Solution Overview
|
The company completed projects at eight schools in 2003 and four to date in 2004. In order to upgrade each location, Vector installed Cisco routers, switches and hubs complete with cabinets, patching and configuration of the network. Vector also completed all necessary electrical work required. This included relocation of electrical outlets in IDF cabinets, adding 220V power to the Main Distribution Frames to ensure network connectivity and grounding of all equipment. All circuits were tested and there will be additional conduit to complete in the near future. This work brought each school up to District specifications and prepared the schools for a future move to a VoIP-based phone system.

In addition to completing each of these projects successfully, the District has required other integrators involved in these projects to adopt the workflow procedures, documentation and other project management practices Vector employs.
