Network integration expert Vector Resources accelerates its push into the Unified Communications/ IP Telephony marketplace this week by announcing its strategic partnership with Avaya—a global leader in the design and manufacturing of UC/ IP Tel systems.

 

The Vector-Avaya partnership comes as Vector continues to build its resume with large-scale IP Tel deployments, and as Avaya aligns with proven integration partners to service new customers inherited following its recent acquisition of industry-giant Nortel.

 

“Avaya has a legacy of quality products, and they have a large imbedded customer base,” said Vector Executive Vice President Jeff Zukerman. “And, they’ve just purchased a company with its own large customer base - many of whom work for the government; another critical market and part of Vector’s overall growth strategy.”

 

Mr. Zukerman said he was impressed with Avaya’s approach to the new partnership. “They came to us and said `we need you, but we also want to help you grow your business,’” he said. “A lot of product manufacturers court us because they know we have great customers, and deliver professional installations and continued service to those customers. But in the end, it’s often ‘what else can you do for us?’ Avaya remains committed to a mutually-beneficial relationship. To me, this is a critical shift.”

 

Robert Hubbard, Avaya’s Strategic Business Development Manager and principal driver of the new partnership, shares Mr. Zukerman’s perspective.
